Electrostatic solid particle filter
Description
Electrostatic Filter (Save Energy) – used for removing solid particles from smoke.
Incoming smoke into the ESF is evenly distributed across the entire operating area of the ESF with the help of perforated plates. Further, the evenly distributed smoke moves between collection plates, inside of which electrodes are arranged. These electrodes charge the solid particles and attract them towards the collection electrodes (plates). As the smoke continues to move through the ESF, the majority of solid particles settle on the collection electrodes, and the outgoing smoke is cleaned.
Electrostatic filters are most commonly used when the boiler power is 3 MW and above. Otherwise, it is more economical to install a sleeve filter in the exhaust gas cleaning system.
